So I am one to read reviews, not so much write them. BUT this place is more than worthy of a 5 star review. I was traveling from out of town when I had some extensive car trouble. TRUSTING A MECHANIC IS HARD, everyone knows this. Please let me put your search at it's end here because these guys really take care of their customers whether you are new or returning. CJ, the service advisor, was very thorough communicating information with me and made this process PAINLESS. Being one to know little about cars AND an out-of-towner, I NEVER felt taken advantage of or pressured into a decision and to me that is a huge weight lifted. He took the time to take me out to my car while it was lifted to actually show me what he was talking about so I didn't have to take his word for it, I got to see for myself what the heck was going on. The mechanic who worked on my car, the behind the scenes guy, BRIAN. He worked quick and efficient to get me back on the road and what stood out to me was that he worked proactively by ordering parts for my car knowing there would be a chance I could opt out of the repair. Which I probably would have if they hadn't taken me out to the car to see the part they were talking about in the first place (I had previously known about the issue but unaware of the extent due to lack of communication between a prior mechanic and I from my local shop) The whole team is very aware of their capabilities and are utterly honest with the customers about options to fix issues regarding repairs and who doesn't like knowing they have options. That's one of the headaches going to a mechanic, you feel pressured, without options, and a huge hole in the wallet. Rest assured, these guys work for their customers, I am a one time customer due to living out of state, but I would absolutely trust these guys again and again. It's hard making a name for your business in the auto repair industry, I truly hope if you took the time to read this review you highly consider taking your vehicle to Gage's Lake Auto because I 100% believe they will do everything and anything to satisfy your needs and your cars'. I cannot praise them enough and wish there were more shops like them.

We have used gages lake auto several times and we have been very happy. From the minute you call and make the appointment to you pick up the vehicle everyone is always very helpful and knowledgeable about your questions with your vehicle. It’s an added bonus that they have loaner cars which is so nice!

We have been using Gages Lake Auto for many years. We really appreciate the open conversations on what our vehicles may or may not need. They have made us feel comfortable working with them on every vehicle we own. The courtesy cars sure make it convenient and flexible to have regular oil changes and check ups done as well as more intricate work performed if required. I highly recommend Gages Lake Auto.

Great service as usual for the past 20 years

on a Friday afternoon realized my car was leaking gasoline. took in and was able to get a loaner on very short notice! took few days to be looked but that was fine as long as i had wheels. when they got to look at it took about 3 hrs to diagnose and repair - lucky for me was just the fuel filter leaking, not that expensive. back on road in my own wheels.
